Nursery.chat is a practical community for nursery, greenhouse, garden center, landscape, and horticultural business owners, operators, growers, managers, and people preparing to start a business.

Share useful, experience-based advice

Ask specific questions, explain what you have tried, and share real-world lessons that can help other members make better growing and business decisions.

Be constructive and professional

Disagreement is welcome; personal attacks, harassment, discrimination, intimidation, and deliberately disruptive behavior are not.

Keep promotion relevant

Members may mention products, services, suppliers, and businesses when they are relevant to a discussion. Repetitive advertising, unsolicited sales pitches, affiliate spam, and misleading promotions are not allowed.

Protect confidential information

Do not post private customer information, employee records, passwords, confidential contracts, or other sensitive information. Get permission before sharing another person’s photos, messages, or business records.

Use care with regulated advice

Pesticide, employment, tax, legal, safety, and regulatory requirements vary by location. Clearly distinguish personal experience from professional advice and encourage members to verify requirements with the appropriate local authority or qualified professional.

Respect the trade

Do not knowingly share stolen proprietary material, confidential pricing, pirated content, or another business’s protected intellectual property.

Moderation

Moderators may move, edit, limit, or remove content that is off-topic, unsafe, deceptive, abusive, or contrary to these guidelines. Repeated violations may result in restricted access or removal from the community.
